George Castillo of Binger, OK, was born on January 24, 1937 in Anadarko OK to Antonio and Guadalupe Castillo. He left this earth peacefully on June 16, 2021.
After growing up around Gracemont and Anadarko, he graduated from Gracemont High School. Shortly after he joined the army and served in the Korean war.
George, being a full blooded Mexican, played a lot of fast pitch softball in many Indian tournaments and golfed in Indian tournaments also, earning him the nickname "George All-tribes". He was an exceptional pool player winning many tournaments and taught many generations strategies of the game. Among many of his life's pleasures was traveling with his wife Verna to places like Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, and Nashville to mention a few. He was a passionate OU sports fan, and especially enjoyed watching the OU Women's Softball team. He also loved fishing with his grandsons, his garden, going to casinos, and his dogs. Another favorite pastime was cruising back roads, listening to his music of different genres. He enjoyed his happy hour friends and joking around. And by using his humor and good natured teasing, He never met a stranger.
Being the patriarch of his family, he cherished precious time spent with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren teaching them valuable life lessons. He was a man of integrity, hard work and principles.
Working in all phases of the construction field, including heavy equipment operator, eventually focusing on fine cabinetry, he followed the work until he settled in the Caddo County area working for Williamson Enterprises for some years as well as working for Ahtone Construction for the remaining 25 years until his retirement.
He is preceded in death by his: parents Tony and Lupe Castillo; brothers Ralph, Oscar, Raymond and Jake Castillo; sisters Caroline and Adulia; son, Timothy.
