Geneva Mae Walker

Geneva Mae Tsonetokoy Walker passed from this world on Friday, January 15, 2016, at the age of 71 at the Glenhaven Assisted Living Center in Chickasha, OK. She was born on May 1, 1944 to the late Grace Lone Bear Tsonetokoy and the late Fred Tsonetokoy.

She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Joyce Walker of Arapaho, WY; her son, Dewey Benjamin Walker of Carnegie, OK; five granddaughters, Wekota Washakie, Haily Washakie, Jacqueline Washakie, Yvonne Washakie, Mia Joe Washakie all of Ft. Washakie, Wy; four grandsons, Ryan Reid, Rick Tsonetokoy, Shawn Tsonetokoy and Marcus Mithlo all of Carnegie, OK; one great grandson Tierney O'Neal of Ft. Washakie, WY; one sister, Patricia Ruth Tsonetokoy Bointy of Anadarko, OK; two brothers, Dewey D. Tsonetokoy Sr. of Carnegie, OK and Ronald Ross Tsonetokoy of Carnegie, OK; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her father, Fred "Buster" Tsonetokoy; her mother; Grace Lone Bear Tsonetokoy; and husband, Bennie Merle Walker; her sister, Linda Joyce Tsonetokoy; her daughter, Leslie Dae Tsonetokoy.

She graduated from Carnegie High School in 1962; attended and graduated from Haskell Institute in Lawrence, KS in 1964. She worked for the U.S. Government for 30 years beginning with the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington D.C. as a secretary in 1964; later with the Indian Health Services in Rockville, MD and transferred to Phoenix, AZ and later transferring back to Rockville, MD; and finally with the Bureau of Indian Affairs in Anadarko, OK where she retired in 1994.

She will be missed by her immediate family and relatives.

May you rest in peace sweet mother, grandmother, and sister. Thank you Father God for giving her to us for a little while.

Funeral Services: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 19, 2016
Cedar Creek Methodist Church, Carnegie, Oklahoma
Internment will follow at Carnegie Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie
