Geneva Cannon passed away peacefully on December 10, 2024 in Hydro, Oklahoma. Geneva was born on April 30, 1929 in Moore, Oklahoma to Henry Janko Sr. and Clara Sudik Janko. She graduated from Moore High School and went on to marry Cecil Cannon on February 16, 1953 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Together they farmed and raised their two children Richard and Carol. Later they moved to Cordell and opened their own business, The Oklahoma Tire and Supply Company. After many years in Cordell they moved to Clinton where Geneva went to work for the Kellwood Company making comforters. She retired from Kellwood in 1994. She loved crafting, sewing, and spending time outdoors gardening. Geneva was a shining light to all that knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
Geneva was survived by her daughter Carol Ratliff of Weatherford, Oklahoma, Richard Cannon and wife Beverly of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, granddaughter Rena Sambrano and husband Steven of Hydro, Oklahoma, grandsons John Cannon and wife Page of Chiloquin, Oregon, Mark Cannon of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, great granddaughter Emily Cannon, great grandsons Xavier and David Sambrano.
Geneva was proceeded in death by her husband Cecil Cannon, granddaughter Jennifer Cannon, brother Henry Janko Jr. and her parents.
The family would like to give thanks to all the staff at the Maple Lawn Manor and Traditions Hospice nurses for the love and care they gave Geneva.
