Gene Pruitt

Gene Pruitt, passed away Thursday February 28, 2019 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 77. He was born June 24,1941 in Sentinel, Oklahoma to Henry Clayburn and Alice Bruce (Caudill) Pruitt. Gene lived in Hobart most of his life. He loved fishing, camping and spending time with his family, he also enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports. Gene owned a boat shop in Hobart for several years. He served in the U.S. Army, and later worked for The State of Oklahoma Reformatory in Granite, OK.

Gene is survived by his 3 children: Ricky Bryant and wife LezLea of Harrah, Oklahoma, Teresa Emerson and husband Ronnie of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, Sherri Collins of Edmond, Oklahoma, 3 Grandchildren: Michael Collins, Tanner Emerson, RanDea Bryant

2 step-children: Bonnie Sandersfeld and husband Jay of Pangburn, Arkansas, William Simmons and wife Skipper of Texarkana, Texas, 3 step-grandchildren: Kurtis Sandersfeld and wife Brandy, Kayla Sandersfeld and fiancé Clint Howard, Sagen Kendall and husband Ryan, 3 step great-grandchildren: Knox, Jasper, Alary ,and Emma

1 Brother Harold Pruitt and wife Audrey of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and 1 Sister-In-Law Linda McCannon of Hobart, Oklahoma.

His special beloved dog Kinzie and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Sharon Kay Pruitt, and brother Jerry McCannon.
