Geary Ahhaitty

January 10, 1952 — August 14, 2024

Geary Ahhaitty, 72, of Oklahoma City passed away on August 14, 2024 in Oklahoma City. He was born in Lawton Oklahoma to Reuben and Bessie Silverhorn-Ahhaitty on January 10, 1952. Geary married the love of his life Marta Lynn Clem-Ahhaitty on January 29, 1977. His love for Marta was unconditional and loved her until his last breath. Geary had many hobbies and met many friends throughout his lifetime. Geary spent most of his life on the mound and played with several well known teams such as: North Americans, Medicine Men, Bad Boys, OIT, and the Silverbacks, just to name a few. He finally ended his pitching career at the age of 65 at Randlett Park in Anadarko. After retiring from softball, Geary had more time to pursue another passion, pool. He loved his team, Red Nation which was his second family. He went to many pool tournaments in Oklahoma, and the last major tournament he attended was the BCA championships in Las Vegas, Nevada this past February. He loved playing at local pool tournaments with his daughter, trying to teach her all he knows. With all his hobbies, Geary was still able to carve out time in his schedule to go fishing, watch his daughter/granddaughter play softball and spend time with his dog. If you knew GA, he was also an avid sports fan; you could not get him to do anything if OU or Dallas Cowboys were playing. Additionally, Geary loved popping up at a pow-wow here and there to visit friends and family. He was proud to be a full blood member of the Kiowa tribe. Spending time with his granddaughters was greater than any of his other hobbies. He loved to take his granddaughters out to eat, to the Wichita Mountains, and shopping. Geary spent his life pursuing his many passions and spending every second he could with his friends and family. Geary will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
