Gearld Morris, 74, Rocky, OK, passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2013, in Elk City, OK. He was born on March 1, 1939, to Carl and Mildred (Royster) Morris in Stuart, Oklahoma. Gearld grew up in eastern Oklahoma and graduated from Gerty High School. He married Elaine Recker on June 2, 1962, and she preceded him in death on January 1, 2010. Gearld served with the U. S. Army with the Green Berets during the Vietnam Conflict. He moved to Eakly, OK in 1963 and to Rocky, OK in 1985. He was an inspector for the Oklahoma State Department of Agriculture for many years. Gearld married Jan (Mathews) Bell on July 14, 2012. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Gearld was a three time World Champion All-Around Cowboy. He was gifted in calf roping and trained many young cowboys.

Chance Morris, and Ashlyn Morris
two sisters, Joyce Turpin and husband Gene, Atwood, OK
Lucretia Davis and husband Tommy, Atwood, OK
Gearld was preceded in death by his parents, Carl & Mildred Morris and first wife Elaine.
