Gary Martin Holland, 66, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2014 in Altus, OK. Born November 1, 1947 in Hobart, OK to Charles M. Holland and Zetta Jane Cupps Holland. A member of the First Baptist Church, Gary graduated from Hobart High School in 1966. In his younger years he was a member of the National Guard. Gary also owned and operated "The Holland House Beauty Salon" in Hobart for several years. He had recently retired from New Hope Treatment Center where he was a team member in both Sayre and Mangum, Ok.
He is survived by one son: Howard Heath Holland, Seminole, OK
Stepmother: Roena Merrick Holland, Hobart, OK
One brother: Eddie R. Holland and wife Wanda, Linden, TN
Two sisters: Charlotte Kirk and husband Spud of Snyder, OK and Mary Tindle and husband Jimmy of Hobart, OK
Five nieces: Christina Beyer, Mandy Holland, Angie Schmidt, Carmen McCorkle and Sara Thompson
Three nephews: Christopher Boman, Dillon Tindle and Jack Tindle
He was also survived by countless friends and family.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents, his paternal grandparents Reagan and Lela Holland, maternal grandparents Edgar and Mattie Cupps and grandmother Eula Merrick.
Gary's wishes to be cremated and for no funeral are being honored by the family. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations may be made to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation (www. myasthenia.org), the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
