Gary Dale Anderson (1941-2024)

Gary Dale Anderson Sr., 82, of Washita/Anadarko, Ok, passed away on Sunday March 3, 2024. He was born in Oney, OK, in 1941 to B. Glen Anderson and Christine (Smithpeter) Anderson. He was raised a country boy with his older sister, Glenda, and younger brother, Olen. Gary attended Oney School district before discovering his love of wood-working and amazing handyman knowledge to fix or build anything. He retired from Anadarko Public Schools in 2008.
Gary Sr. was a hard working, loving, and faithful husband and father. He was proud of the life he built with his wife, Patti. He loved having a big family and enjoyed family gatherings. He showered all of his children in love and was a pentacle of what a loving parent should be. He taught his children a great many things and was always present at sporting events and school functions, as well as anything else they asked of him. He went on to be the best Papa making sure each grandchild or great grandchild was loved and showered each of them with attention, doting on them, and always finding humor in their reactions.

Gary Sr. was preceded in death by his father, B. Glen Anderson and mother, Christine Snelson, his older sister, Glenda, and his younger brother, Olen.

He is survived by his wife, Patti, of the home, his daughters Linda Anderson and Ladonna Harvey of Anadarko, son Tracy Anderson of Owasso, son Toby and wife Natalie Anderson of Washita/Anadarko, son Gary and wife Jessica of Washita/Anadarko, and daughter Bonnie Anderson-Couch and husband Eric of Amber, Oklahoma. He will be missed greatly by his numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They all love their Papa.
