Garvin Dale Sneed

Garvin Dale Sneed, 79 of Anadarko, Oklahoma passed away on February 26th, 2018 at his home. Dale was born on August 15, 1938 to the late Edgar and Lela (Pierce) Sneed in Anadarko, Oklahoma. He attended Anadarko High School and later joined the National Guard for 6 years. Dale married the love of his life Barbara Kemp on December 7, 1957 in Anadarko, Oklahoma. In the late 60's and 70's Dale and his brother framed houses and laid tile. In 1972 he bought a horse to rope off of. Someone told him, that wasn't a roping horse but a race horse. So that is when he started his passion of horse training. Dale trained horses for 45 years. He made numerous friends while training and racing. Dale and Barbara were known as grandma and grandpa to many people at the race track.

Dale is survived by his wife Barbara "Bobbie Sue" of the home.

2 daughters: Gayla Sain and the late Buck Sain of Chickasha, Oklahoma
Linda and husband Mark Kirtley of Chickasha, Oklahoma
and adopted kids, Benny and Lisa Landeros

23 grandkids: Megan Clarke of Arizona, Amanda Crom of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Sabrina White of Yukon, Oklahoma, Elizabeth Sneed of Dallas, Texas, Jarrod Sneed of Edmond, Oklahoma, Kolten Sneed of Anadarko, Oklahoma, Chris Hill and wife Lisa, Stephanie Thornburg and husband Brian, Sean Kirtley, Samantha Benavides and husband Joseph, Justin Sneed and Kayla Herndon, Kadin Sneed, Kaylee Sneed and Scott Ervin, Kristina McKenna, Bobby Jean Sneed, Tyler Sneed and fiance Samantha, Karleigh Sneed all of Chickasha, Oklahoma. McKenzee, Chase, Shelbee, Aubree, Kolbee of Ninnekah, Oklahoma, Hailee Thompson of Lookeba.
40 great grandkids and 3 great-great grandkids.

2 brothers: Leroy Sneed of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
George Sneed and wife Cathy of Warner Robbins, Georgia.
Several nieces, nephews, race track friends and family.

Preceded in death: by his parents, granddaughter Jenny Sneed, sister in-law Juanita Sneed.
