May 22, 1953 — November 7, 2010

Freida " Rika Rae" High, 57, Carnegie, OK, was called at Sunset November 7th, 2010. Freida was born May 22nd, 1953 to Charlie and Ruby (Tanequodle- Redbird) High in Lawton, OK. Freida attended Cooperton School and Saddle Mountain, and received her G.E.D. at Carnegie, OK. Freida was an active member of the Carnegie Victory Club, and served as Vice- President. She also was a Certified Nurse Aid at the Carnegie Nursing home, 1993-2010. Freida was also cleet certified to be a security guard. Luckily she did not throw any of her relatives in handcuffs. Her Indian given name, Chanasy, was given to her by her father Charlie High. Freida enjoyed being with her sisters Vino, and Lupe, attending pow-pows and watching her nephew CC Whitewolf grass dance and chicken dance. She also thought a lot of her grandson Randy "Sah-mi-nah" Whitewolf. She enjoyed watching him play basketball. They loved laughing around and enjoying each others company. Freida liked camping at the Apache Blackfoot Society at the Redbones, and liked playing Bingo. Freida had two birthdays. She was told that her birthday was on the 23rd. of May, but her Birth Certificate says May 22nd, 1953, so Freida celebrates both days.
She enjoyed singing 49 songs at South 40, and hanging out with that bunch. Freida was a member of the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma. She enjoyed being with her family and like to play hand games when the Crows came down. She is a descendent of Setangya (Sitting Bear).
