Frankie Hughes

Frankie Eugene Hughes 80 of Gracemont, OK. He passed away Saturday, April 22nd, 2017 in Chickasha, OK. Frankie was born on February 18th, 1937 to James and Alma Bell Hughes in Sobol, OK. They moved to Cogar/Minco in 1946 then to Gracemont, OK in 1955. Where he met and dated Josie Reyes. He then joined the Army in 1960 he served 2 years, then returned to marry his love Josie Reyes on August 21, 1962. They lived in Gracemont, OK all of their lives. They had 1 daughter but helped raised several of his nieces and nephews. Frankie worked many years at Sequoyah carpet mill until it closed and then Maramont. He's worked for the City of Anadarko OK, the Peanut mill, and then Special Young adult as maintenance He retired and began his small mowing business. He mowed multiple lawns in Gracemont and Anadarko. He loved gardening and grew beautiful flowers and vegetables. He enjoyed going to the coffee shop everyday. He also loved camping and fishing whenever he could, and spending time with family especially all the little ones who knew him as papa Frankie. He loved all of his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter: Amanda Rodgerson of Anadarko, OK.

Visitation begins Thursday April 27, 2017 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home chapel at 9:00 am to 8:00 pm
Family visitation will be Friday April 28, 2017 at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home from 6:00pm to 8:00pm
Services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Assembly of God in Anadarko, OK
