Frank "Tator" Ybarra Jr., 75 of Apache, passed away on September 24, 2015 in Lawton, OK. He was born on December 24, 1939 at Boone, OK to Rufus Frank "Poncho" and Josie (Starr) Ybarra. Frank was a member of the Apache Native American Church and the Apache Tribe of Oklahoma. He is the last of the first four dancers that revived the Manditite Blackfoot Society. His dream for his family was to remain in unity and form a business in ranching or farming. He loved to fish and hunt. Early days, he was a bull and bronco rider. He was a man's man. He was very proud of all of his children as they were proud of him. He liked his cowboy ways. He was a true cowboy. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He raised and broke horses. Later in life, he spent most of his time at the casino. All he met and looked upon were considered very, very special and loved by him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Rufus Frank "Pancho" Ybarra and Josie Starr Ybarra, his son, Savondo Preston "Bando" Ybarra, 3 daughters, Carmen Jo Ybarra Johnson, Sophie "Pootie Gal" Ybarra Rocha and Francine Elena Ybarra, 2 sisters, Delores Lola Horsechief and Trisha Irene Washee, 3 brothers, George "Peanut" Starr, Rudy Ybarra and Rufus Paul Ybarra. Also special nieces and nephews.
Wake service will be held starting at 7:00 p.m. Sunday September 27, 2015 at the Comanche Community Center in Apache, OK. It will be an all night wake.
Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday September 28, 2015 at the Comanche Community Center in Apache, OK.
Burial will follow at the KCA Cache Creek Cemetery, west of Apache, OK
Services are under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home of Carnegie, OK
