Frank Marion Hines, 87, of Hobart, Oklahoma passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 23rd, 2017. Frank was born on February 10th, 1930 to Lonnie and Nora (Atkinson) Hines in Rocky, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended school in Rocky. After school he enlisted in the United States Army and served in the Korean War from 1951 to 1953. After his discharge from the service, he soon met the love of his life Sue Trammel and they were married on March 31, 1956 at the Missionary Baptist Church in Hobart, Oklahoma. Frank was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday School Superintendent for over 30 years and has been a Deacon since 1991. He served on the Kiowa County Excise Board from 1986 to 1992 and also served on the FSA Board from 1997 to 1999. Frank had many hobbies: wood working, fishing, hunting, and gardening but most of all he loved being with his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Frank is preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Nora Hines, five sisters; Arvella Hines, Angie Schmidt, Faye Work, Jane Wilkerson and Melva Smith, two brothers: Walton Hines and Loyd Hines.
