Francis Claudean Colwell, 84, Mountain View, OK died in Oklahoma City, OK Sunday, April 3rd, 2011. She was born in Cowden, OK May 13, 1926 to Guy Lee and Dicy Luella (Cotter) Miller and was a member of a large family. She attended Cowden Public Schools and soon met Quintus Colwell, first at a ball game at the Cowden gym and later at the Colwell Garage. They were married June 27, 1943 in Mountain View, OK. Quintus preceded her in death April 12, 1996. Mrs. Colwell was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mountain View, OK. She loved to make quilts. She has lived all of her life in the Mountain View and Cowden area.

Four Daughters: Dolores Jean Willis and husband, Roy Gene, Weatherford, OK

Tyva Dianne Janz and husband, Don, Snyder, OK
Debra Claudean Payne and husband, Mike, Colony, OK
Fourteen Grandchildren and thirty one great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Homer and two sisters, Ruby Devin and Ida Mae Littlefield; two grandchildren, Kathleen Renae Willis and Kyle Wayne Branham
Services: 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, Mountain View, OK with Rev. Brian Waddell, pastor, officiating and burial to follow at the Mountain View Cemetery under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Mountain View, OK.
