Frances Kay Ahtone Horse, 70, of Anadarko, OK passed away Monday October 19, 2020. Frances was born July 26, 1950 in Lawton, OK to Quanah Parker and Cynthia Iron Ahtone.
Frances grew up in Hinneyville, OK. She attended and graduated high school at Broxton, OK in 1968. After graduating high school, she attended Haskell University in Lawrence, KS.
Francis married her husband Larry on March 23, 1969 and they made their home in Hinneyville, OK. Frances worked along side her mother making native regalia and operating the Ahtone Trading Post in Fort Cobb, OK.
She dedicated her life as one of Jehovah's witnesses in 1988 and was a long-time member of the Anadarko/Elgin Congregation. Frances enjoyed sharing her talent with others. She was always willing to teach anybody who wanted to learn how to make regalia. She was also a talented cake decorator and loved to dance. Her favorite pastime was sitting in her yard watching her grandchildren and her hummingbirds.
