Flora Irene Montgomery
February 24, 1928 — July 17, 2017
Irene (Jonnie) Montgomery passed away Monday, July 17, 2017 in Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born February 24, 1928 in Eakly, Oklahoma to Charles and Flora Mullins Johns.
Jonnie attended school and graduated from Sickles in 1946. Jonnie married David Montgomery on April 12, 1947 in Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma and to that union one son, Jimmie, was born.
Jonnie worked many years as a beautician in Hydro and later in Carnegie. She was member of the First Baptist Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
Jonnie is survived by her son, Jimmie and his wife Kathy of Carnegie, OK
Three grandchildren: Kandi Yancey of Hydro, OK
Tawnya Thiessen and her husband Kyle of Joplin, MO Jeff Montgomery of Carnegie, OK
Seven Great Grandchildren: Ashlyn & Kalyn Yancey, Taz & Kyzer Thiessen, Jada Montgomery, Jesse Montgomery, and Cannon Montgomery.
Preceded in death by her spouse, David Montgomery, one brother, Doyle Johns and baby sister Ethel Marie.
