Flora Gunter, 97, Carnegie, OK passed away, December 25, 2014, at the Carnegie Nursing Home. She was born November 12, 1917, in Choctaw, OK to John Will and Mary ( Shipman) Powers. She moved with her family from Sweetwater, OK in a covered wagon to Carnegie, OK, where she lived most of her life. She married Carroll Gunter, December 03, 1932, in Anadarko, OK. Flora worked for the Carnegie Nursing Home for over 22 years and belonged to the Nursing Home's bowling league. She lived for her family. Flora was a member of the Baptist Church.

Reta Coats and husband, Dewey, Carnegie, OK
one son: Jimmie Gunter and wife, Angie, Ft. Cobb, OK
daughter-in-law: Penny Sue Gunter, Sperry, OK
12 grandchildren, numerous great & great-great grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Gunter, son, Franklin " Bud" Gunter and daughters, Ann Murphy and Joyce Cowling, three brothers, Jim Powers, George Powers and Howard Powers, one sister, Sara Boyd and one great grandson, Orbie Wilburn.
