Evelyn Marie Faulkner

Evelyn Marie (Mosley) Faulkner was born October 11, 1924, the daughter of Fred Mosley and Opal Grace (Phillips) Mosley, in Snyder, Oklahoma. She died November 29, 2019 in Granbury, Texas.
Evelyn attended school at a rural Kiowa County one room school house and Roosevelt School where she graduated. She married Mark Lewis Faulkner of Cooperton, Oklahoma on June 7, 1943. This union was blessed with two daughters, Aneta Marie, born on October 28, 1944, and Glena Grace, born February 26, 1946. They built their home near his parents in rural Kiowa County where they raised their children. They lived in this home until March of 1997 when they moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma. After the death of her husband, Evelyn moved to Granbury, Texas with her daughters and son-in-law where she lived until her death. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother who was very active in her church and community.

She was preceded in death by her husband Mark Faulkner, parents Fred and Grace Mosley, three brothers: Fred Jr., William (Bill), and Elbert, and three sisters: Verla, Maxine, and Alta Fern.

Survivors include her two daughters, Aneta Rice of the home,
Glena and her husband Tom Rickey of Granbury, Texas,
two granddaughters: Rachel Hartless of Yukon, Oklahoma,
Robin Umbarger of Wichita, Kansas,
eight grandchildren and one sister Freda of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Graveside Service: 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 4, 2019
