Eva Tittle was born on August 12, 1934 to Clessie and Rena (Cunningham) Tittle at Rocky, Oklahoma. Eva left this world on Thursday, November 26, 2020 at 86 years old in Cordell, Oklahoma. Eva was two days younger than her twin, Neva, and the two were inseparable from birth. They always loved sharing the story of the hours between their births and would commiserate about how their mother must have been a strong person.
During her young life, Eva could be found helping her parents with the chores of farm life. She worked alongside her parents and siblings pulling cotton, making soap, and canning food to last through the winters. Eva became adept at sewing and could often be seen wearing clothes she had made for herself and Neva. Eva joined the Church of the Firstborn in Rocky and found her faith in Jesus to sustain her during trying times of life. Eva completed high school at Rocky, Oklahoma and was always proud to be a Rocky Buffalo.
As a young adult, Eva began working at the First National Bank in Cordell. During the banking crisis, she lost the job she loved but soon joined Cordell National Bank and later went to the Bank of Cordell where she ended her career. Eva's office in the bank was a popular place, as banking customers soon learned they had a friend in Eva.
Eva was always busy. She and Neva enjoyed working in their yard until their health prevented them from doing so. During the winter, her nights were spent sewing or working on a crochet project of some kind. Eva and Neva discovered a joy of travel and explored such places as Hawaii, Jamaica, Nashville, and other places of interest in the U.S.
Eva never married, but she enjoyed a life full of love surrounded by family. She and Neva enjoyed time out with friends and found special delight in trips to OKC for a day of shopping with her niece, Kim. She doted on Kim's children and became one of "the Grandmas" to Kim's children and then to many who knew and loved her. Eva had a way of making everyone she met feel special, and those who knew her knew that her love for them was genuine. Eva and Neva never spent a night away from one another. If one became sick and had to be hospitalized, the other was there, holding a hand and encouraging one another on.
Eva is preceded in death by her parents, Clessie and Rena Tittle, one sister, Joy Gray, and one brother Dearl Tittle. She leaves behind to mourn her passing her twin sister, Neva, and a host of nieces and nephews.
