Eva Henson, 101, passed away on Sunday, April 15th, 2012, in Elkview General Hospital, Hobart, OK.
She was born November 28,1910 in Russellville, Arkansas to Frank and Annie (Ketchum) Godfrey. She moved with her family as a child to Hobart, OK. Eva married Loyd Henson June 29, 1936 and he preceded her in death in May 2, 1971.She received a Governor's Commendation in recognition of her 100th Birthday from Governor Brad Henry. She also received Birthday Congratulations from Barack and Michelle Obama. On August 5th, 2001, the Historical Commission of the Baptist General Convention of Oklahoma awarded Eva a certificate as the oldest Person with Longest Membership in the First Baptist Church of Hobart, on the occasion of the Observance of the 100th Anniversary of its Founding in 1901.

three great-grandchildren: Zach, Jake and Drew Smith, Hobart, OK
one sister: Mary Sumner, Hutchinson, KS
and numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law, Nancy Henson and eight brothers and sisters.
