Ethel Mace, 97, of Mountain View, OK passed away Monday, February 14th, 2011 at the Carnegie Nursing Home, Carnegie, OK. She was born November 11th, 1913 to Buck and Mae Rutledge near Cooperton, OK. Ethel attended grade school at Union Dale, then high school at Cooperton, where she graduated in 1931. She was married to Lee Roy Jaye, February 21, 1935 at Hobart, OK, who preceded her in death October 27, 1936. She married Hardin F. Mace on March 20, 1940. They lived on a farm south of Long Horn Mountain. She was a farm wife and as a side line, she was a news correspondent for the Mountain View News, Hobart Democrat Chief and Kiowa County Star Review papers for many years. Ethel was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church of Mountain View, and loved her church very much. She was an active member until her death.
Survivors include one step daughter, Emma Lee Madden and husband Paul, Mountain View, OK

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a step- daughter, LaUna Zimmerman, one brother, Fred, three sisters, Blanche, Lavona and Ruth.
Funeral Services: 2:00pm Thursday, February 17, 2011 at the Primitive Baptist Church, Mountain View, OK
Burial will follow at Green Valley Cemetery, Mountain View, OK
