Esteban "Steve" Quintero was born September 2, 1944, to Urbano and Angelita (Garza) Quintero in Donna, Texas. His family were migrant workers who traveled through north Texas and all across the United States, ending up in Hobart, Oklahoma in 1960. Steve met and married the love of his life, Maria Ramirez on July 27, 1964. To this union, three children were born, Manuel, Sylvia and Stella.
In the early part of their marriage, Steve worked with Harold Holman doing farm work, and in the evenings, Harold taught him the art of making dentures. In 1964, Steve began working full-time at Holman Dental Lab, eventually opening his own lab, Hobart Denture Lab. Steve was highly sought after by many dentists in Western Oklahoma and North Texas for his attention to detail and his gift for a natural look and fit. Steve retired from The Lab in 2018.
