Emmett "Poncho" "Sarge" Westselline McKenzie, 83, passed away on October 18, 2021, in Muskogee, OK. He was born January 16, 1938, in Lawton, OK to Robert "Bob" McKenzie and Zola Westselline Stroud.
Emmett was known as "Poncho" "Sarge" and always had the saying "Shake the hand that Shook the World." He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Emmett also loved watching the OU football and "In the Heat of the Night" was his favorite movie. He enjoyed working on crossword puzzles and eating candy, snacks, and Pepsi Cola.
He enlisted in the United States Army, March 5, 1956. Emmett was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his: wife, Jo Ann McKenzie; son, Emmitt Michael McKenzie; brothers, Jerry Cooper, Durrell Cooper Jr, Jim Joselyn, Bill Slimp; and sister Violet Sue Westselline.
