Elsie Marie Jones

Elsie Marie Jones, 64, of Hobart, Oklahoma passed away December 12th, 2018. She was born on February 7, 1954 in Dallas, Texas, to Robert J. and Lena Marie (Doyebi) Smith. She married Roy Eugene Jones on May 13, 1971 at the Pentecostal Church of God Indian Mission in Lawton, Oklahoma, and he preceded her in death on December 24, 2011. Elsie has been a long-time resident of Hobart. She worked for the O.D.O.C. for 19 years before retiring. She spent the first 12 years as an L.P.N. before being promoted to Case Manager. She was a proud grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 4. She enjoyed retirement. She attended church regularly at both The Territory Church and Calvary Life Assembly of God. She loved her family dearly.

She is survived by 2 sons: Roy Jones Jr. of Hobart, Oklahoma,
William Robert Clark Jones of Hobart, Oklahoma,
1 daughter: Gena Marie Doyebi Whitlock and husband Randy of Hobart, Oklahoma,
3 brothers: Eddie Smith of Lawton, Oklahoma,
Paul Smith and wife Soila of Lawton, Oklahoma,
Freddie Bob Smith of Hobart, Oklahoma,
5 sisters: Mona Bearshield of Lawton, Oklahoma,
Kathy Marquis and husband Randy of Lubbock, Texas,
Emma Adams of Lawton, Oklahoma
Lola Ortega and husband Frank of Houston, Texas,
Sandee Pugh of Arlington, Texas,
she is survived by 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Elsie is preceded in death by her husband Roy Jones, parents Robert & Lena Smith, brother Pete Smith, niece Crystal Smith, and 2 nephews: John C.R. Bearshield and David Michael Collins.
