Ellowene "Rennie" (Bergstrom) Minnix, 87, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2021 at the Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma. She was born on November 8, 1933 to Raymond and Ester Bergstrom in Mobridge, South Dakota. Ellowene grew up and attended school in Central City and Spearfish, South Dakota. She met and then married Jasper Kirk Summers on December 20, 1952 and to this union were born two sons, Richard and Ernie. Ellowene worked as a school cook at Loyal, and then taught bible school when moving to Fort Cobb. She worked at University Sound and then moved with the company to Oklahoma City where it became Altec Lansing, she work for 28 years, and lived in El Reno. When Ellowene retired she moved back to Fort Cobb. She loved fishing with her sons, and enjoyed working in her flowerbeds. Ellowene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Three Grandchildren: Tonya Brown, Michael Summers and Tori Edwards
Four Great-Grandchildren: Justin McBroom, Steve Brown, Jillian Brown and Abigail Summers
Siblings: Laura Speirs of South Dakota, Mildred Schanamen of Nebraska, LaVerne Briscoe of Norman, OK, Keith Bergstrom of South Dakota, Holly Bergstrom of Minnesota, Arnold Bergstrom of South Dakota, Norman Bergstrom of South Dakota and Carole Eckhart of South Dakota.
Preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, and 8 of her 16 siblings, Edna Vogel, Lyle Bergstrom, June Jones, Violet Bergstrom, Marvin Bergstrom, Dale Bergstrom, Janette Rieb-Christman and Don Bergstrom
