Elizabeth Mae Turney passed away on January 13, 2025, in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born on May 18, 1939, to Howard & Helen (Rudow) Talbott in Assumption, Illinois. She grew up in Assumption, Illinois, graduating from Assumption Highschool on May 28, 1957. In high school she was a member of the FHA, and the commerce club. She was also the class reporter, class secretary, and the class treasurer. Betty loved cheerleading and was a member of the cheerleading team. She was a Queen attendant & social editor of The Comet. After graduating, she married Donald Minnick on November 10, 1957, and to this union were born 3 children. She worked at Anadarko public schools until retirement. Betty married Jerry Turney, and together they made their home in Fort Cobb until his passing. She then moved to gracemont to be closer to her family. She loved to spend time with her family, and her family loved to spend time with her. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
