Eldon Lee Holman, 89, of Carnegie, Oklahoma, passed from this life on November 25, 2024, in Carnegie. He was born to Cora & W.A. Holman on November 29, 1934 in Gracemont, OK. The baby of 8 kids, he grew up in the Anadarko area. On Dec 24, 1954, he married the love of his life, Harlene (Jones) Holman, and they raised one daughter, Debra (Debbie) Kaye, born June 11, 1959. Stationed in Germany during the Korean war, Eldon served in the US Army from 1954-1958, and in the Army reserves until 1962. Eldon loved his Carnegie community, and the Carnegie and surrounding communities all loved him. There was nothing he wouldn't do for people, nothing he couldn't fix, and was always donating his time and skills to the community. He served as the Carnegie Chamber of Commerce president, Carnegie Fair Board President, a lifetime member of the Carnegie Roundup Club, as well as serving as Commander and Vice Commander of the Carnegie American Legion Post #156. Eldon spent most of his time doing what he loved-inventing, welding, and fixing anything and everything, including farm implements. He was nicknamed "The Tractor Doctor". Anyone in the surrounding counties knew just who to call if they had a problem. He was a loving family man and was at every event, ballgame, awards ceremony-you name it. If Joni or Johnny Lee was participating in something, he was there showing support and helping in any way he was needed. They were his world, and later came 5 great grandkids, and he was all about spoiling those great grandkids. Eldon never met a stranger. He was loved by all, and he will be missed by all.
