Edwin Eldon Hawkins

Edwin "Eldon" Hawkins was born September 17, 1926, in Roosevelt, Oklahoma to Edd and Maude (Igo) Hawkins. He died on November 30, 2014, at the age of 88. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1944, and entered into the U.S. Army and World War II in 1945. He later graduated from
Oklahoma A & M in Stillwater, OK in 1951, with a degree in Agriculture. After graduation he worked for a short time on the McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale, Arizona before returning to the Roosevelt/Con 8 Community where he farmed and raised cattle for the remainder of his life. He married Berniece Price at Cordell, OK on June 16, 1964. She preceded him in death in 2004.

He is survived by two daughters: Donna Ann Cooper, Roosevelt, Oklahoma,
Carol Lea Cooper and husband Aldon, Roosevelt, Oklahoma,
two grandchildren: Shane and Lindy Cooper,
two brother-in-laws: Homer and Betty Jo Price, Choctaw, OK,
Clifton and Della Price, Eufaula, OK.

He is preceded in death by his wife, parents, and one brother, Ralph.
