Edward Robert Gelnar

Edward Robert Gelnar of Mangum, Oklahoma passed away on November 22, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born October 30, 1936 to Robert Gelnar and Bessie Cerny Gelnar in Brinkman, Oklahoma. He graduated from Mangum High School in 1956. He served his country in the Air Force. He spent his life as a Rancher and retired from the Soil Conservation Service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mangum. He enjoyed camping, working with his cattle and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Edward is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Joe, a sister Angie Martin, a great grandson, Kole David Gelnar and a sister-in-law Kaye Strain.

He is survived by his wife Darlene of the home.
One son, Junior Gelnar and wife Susan of Mangum.
One daughter, Stephanie Yocham and husband Calvin of Mangum.

Grandchildren: Wesley and wife Ashley, Mangum, Oklahoma, Jacob and companion MaKenna, Mangum, Oklahoma, Brandie Wilson and husband TJ, Lonewolf, Oklahoma, Tennessee Yocham, Blair, Oklahoma, Teri Yocham and companion Ross Lard, Newcastle, Oklahoma, Tyler Yocham, Blair, Oklahoma and Amber Harrison, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Great Grandchildren: Kash, McKinleigh, Bentlee, Taytum, Doven, DJ, Gracie, Triston, Ryan, Colton, Tinzlynn, Avery, Paxton and Asher and a host of other Relatives and Friends

Viewing will be held at Ray and Martha's Funeral Home in Mangum, Oklahoma from 2pm till 8pm on Sunday, November 25, 2018 and 9am till 8pm on Monday, November 26, 2018. The family will receive friends from 6pm till 8pm on Monday, November 26, 2018.

Funeral services will be at 10am on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 409 N Byers, Mangum, Oklahoma. Interment following at Roselawn Cemetery, Mangum, Oklahoma under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Mangum, Oklahoma.
