Edith May Fenter

Edith May (Smith) Fenter was born October 29, 1927 In Arkoma, Laflore County, Oklahoma to the late Elmer Smith and Mary J. (Mason) Smith. On the 9th day of January , 2019, she passed away in Kingston, Oklahoma. Edith grew up in and around Mountain View, Oklahoma. She was a graduate of Mountain view High School class of 1946.
Edith and Otis Fenter, Jr. were married April 26, 1946 in Hobart, Oklamoma. He preceded her in death December 14, 1971. To this union, three children were born, Ladonna Joyce, Donald Lee and Marsha Linn. Edith and Otis were members of the Church of Christ.
Edith worked for oil well drilling and operator-producers in Duncan, Oklahoma and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma for a number of years before becoming self-employed as a bookkeeper and tax preparer until retiring in 2005. She lived in Mountain View, OK, Duncan, OK, Oklahoma City, OK and Edmond, OK prior to moving to Oakview Estates, Kingston, OK near Lake Texoma in 1982 where she resided 31 years before moving into the city of Kingston, OK.
She is survived by her son, Donald Lee Fenter of Kingston, OK and daughter, Marsha Linn (Fenter)Bolay of Kingston, OK; grandsons, David B. Bolay and significant other, Terrie Cash, Kingston, OK, Lance D. Bolay and wife, Daphne of Tyler, TX, J.D (Joe Don, Jr) Bolay and wife, Megan of Broken Arrow, OK, Steven R. Bolay and significant other, Renee Marzuola-Bourasaw of Broken Arrow, OK, Brian C. Bolay and wife, Trenace, of Broken Arrow, OK, Robert L. Maddox, Sulphur, OK; granddaughters Bridgette D. (Bolay) Moss and husband Eddie J. Moss of Kingston, OK, Emily M.D. (McBroom-Fenter) Magruder and husband Christopher Magruder of Tishomingo, OK; 26 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, V. Doris McAllister of Richardson, TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, infant daughter, Ladonna Joyce Fenter, brothers, James Huey Smith and Mason E. Smith; sisters, Helen June Smith, Mary Lee (Smith) Welch, Naomi M. (Smith) Wear, and Ruth Ann (Smith-Greenwell) Davidson.
A graveside memorial and internment, directed by Ray and Martha's Funeral Home of Hobart, OK., will be held at 2 PM, March 23rd at Mountain View Cemetery in Mountain View Ok. Services will be officiated by her grandson, Dr. Lance D. Bolay. Edith requested that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Mountain View Cemetery Fund.
