Eddie J. Schmidt

Eddie J. Schmidt, 84, of Clinton, Oklahoma, passed away March 30th, 2016 at his home with his family by his side. Eddie was born on June 27th, 1931 to Edward and Marie (Jantzen) Schmidt in Bessie, OK. He was united in marriage to Eldeen Sawatzky on March 31, 1955 at Bessie, OK. He was a member of the First Mennonite Church in Clinton, OK. Eddie loved working with wood and was a phenomenal carpenter. Eddie built many homes throughout Clinton while working for Elk Supply for over 25 years. He was later employed at the Clinton Veteran Center for 12 years, retiring in 1996.

He is preceded in death by his wife Eldeen (Sawatzky) Schmidt,
