Doyle Ray Loftiss was born December 17, 1936, to Ralph and Evelyn Loftiss west of Canute, OK what was known as the Wise place. Doyle grew up east of Dill City on the family farm. Throughout his life he loved to drive John Deere tractors. Doyle was part of the class of 1955. He was known to keep the class together for class reunions. Doyle joined the Army Reserves in Feb of 1959. He then went to work for the John Deere parts house in OKC and Carnegie but in 1960 he met the love of his life Patricia Morris of Cordell. He and Pat were married on April 2, 1961. To this union two children were born Kenneth Ray and Gaye Lei. Besides working for John Deere, Doyle was engaged in farming, custom hay cutting, ran Loftiss Oil, worked at Shell Oil and lastly his dream job being the manager of Dill City Farmers Coop Gin for 30 years. He also served on many boards in the cotton industry. Doyle was also a long-time member of 1st Baptist Church Dill City. After retirement he and Pat spent many days attending their grandsons 4-H and FFA Events, playing dominos, planting a big garden, traveling to Branson Missouri, feeding cows and many trips to the coffee shop.
The last ten years Doyle had a stroke with Pat by his side. She comforted him and strengthened him daily. Doyle left this earth on December 21st at the Corn Heritage nursing home with his family by his side.
Doyle left behind his wife of 61 years Pat, son Kenny and wife Karla, daughter Gaye Lei and husband Larry, grandson Clayton and wife Julia and grandson Caleb. Sister Sue Kelley, Sisters and brothers' in-laws, Ann Loftiss, Betty McCarther, Veta and Noah Sanders and Calla and Gene Smith. Very special Uncle Frank & Aunt Donne Loftiss and many nieces, nephews, and cousins
