Dorothy L. Zimmerman, 94, of Carnegie, Oklahoma passed from this life on December 11th, 2022 with her three daughters by her side. Dorothy was born on July 25, 1928 in the family home in Carnegie, Oklahoma to Dorothy's proud parents, Willie C. and Mamie V. Swanda. Dorothy grew up and attended school in Carnegie, and graduated from Carnegie High School in 1946. Dorothy married the love of her life, Eugene Zimmerman on October 2, 1947 in Carnegie, Oklahoma and together they raised three beautiful daughters. Dorothy was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women's Group and in her younger days the Modern Mother's Club. Dorothy loved her life as a farmer, rancher and raising baby calves on the bottle. One of Dorothy's greatest joys was playing dominoes, cards and watching her grandchildren play sports and ride horses. Dorothy was famous for her cooking and always had an extra plate if you needed a meal.
Dorothy was the best wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother anyone could wish for. Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
