Dorothy Jean Wright Krieger, 93, life long resident of Hobart, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2017. She was born on July 22, 1923 to Paul and Neta (Mills) Wright in Hobart, Oklahoma. Dorothy grew up and attended school in Hobart, graduating from Hobart High School in 1942. After high school Dorothy met and married her sweetheart Milton Krieger. Dorothy was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, she was also a member of a quilting club.
Even though Dorothy was a "city girl," she happily moved to the farm with the love of her life. She worked hard right along with Milton to start their life together. She was a very creative woman and enjoyed making everything and everyone look good. Dorothy was a great cook and a wonderful seamstress... making cowboy shirts, coats, dresses, bathing suits, purses, hats and trousers. She could take an old piece of furniture and make it beautiful, Dorothy loved to quilt, she hand-made six king size quilts, three queen size, two full size and many, many baby quilts for her family, she lovingly embroidered names and dates on each quilt. Dorothy always looked on the sunny side of life.... her laugh, her smile, priceless gifts to all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.
