Dorothy P. Hileman Johnson

Dorothy Pearl Hileman Johnson, 91, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Carnegie Nursing Home. Dorothy was born July 3, 1925 to Claude and Elva Robertson Hooper in Washington, Oklahoma.

Dorothy attended school in Stratford, Oklahoma. Dorothy married Horace Thomas (Jack) Rudder in Stratford, Oklahoma in 1941 and to this union one son was born. Dorothy married Vernie R. Hileman December 14, 1945 and to this union two sons were born. Dorothy married Clayton Johnson August 1, 1988.

Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She and Vernie were part owners in a furniture store in the 1960's. She was always a hard-working farm wife and mother. Dorothy was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church in Mountain View. She spent countless hours with the other ladies of the church teaching the children. They could boast of the best Bible School in the area. After Vernie's death Dorothy worked at the Woodward Department Store in Carnegie. Dorothy had the opportunity to take many trips with the local charter group in town. She loved to travel. Dorothy and Clayton were members of the Good Sam's Club and traveled with a group of Seniors all over North America. Dorothy loved quilting, crocheting, and doing all kinds of crafts. She and Clayton loved to play Skip Bo and board games. Dorothy could boast of beating most of the Grandkids until she decided to let them win. Dorothy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carnegie.


Dorothy is survived by three sons: Butch Rudder & wife Dana of Anadarko, Oklahoma Randall Hileman & wife Jeannie of Carnegie, Oklahoma
Darrell Hileman & wife Rita of Carnegie, Oklahoma

Seven Grandchildren, Eighteen Great Grandchildren and Thirty-three Great Great Grandchildren.

She is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by three sisters: Vera May Fountain, Jewell Mullinex and Lillian Isabelle Hooper
Five brothers, John Hooper, Homer Hooper, Joe Hooper, Tom Hooper, and Ben Hooper.

Services for Mrs. Johnson will be Monday, May 15, 2017 at 3:00 PM at the First Baptist Church in Carnegie, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM and Sunday 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Ray and Martha's Funeral Home in Carnegie, Oklahoma.
