Dorothy Lorene Gray

Dorothy Gray went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 22, 2010. She was born May 26, 1924, at the home place south of Carnegie, OK to the Rev. Cecil and Jennie (Haumpy) Horse. She attended Fort Sill Indian School. Dorothy married Carl Gray on January 4, 1954 in Lawton, OK. Her husband Carl served in the military and they traveled extensively during their early married years. After retirement from the military, Dorothy and Carl built a home south of Carnegie where they established their permanent residence. She was a home maker. Early in her life she received Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. God gave her the beautiful gift of singing and being His faithful dedicated servant until He called her home. In her Christian journey she served faithfully at Cache Creek United Methodist Church for 52 years and held several positions within the church. All of her life she was faithfully devoted to the Lord, always putting Him first in every decision and everything she did.

Her survivors include two daughters:

three sons:
Cecil Gray & Pat Sadongei of Elgin, OK
Jerry and Karen Gray of Choctaw, OK
Carl Fran Gray of the home
18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren

Vivian Komardley of Apache, OK
Stella Rivera of Carnegie, OK
Mary Jones of Chattanooga, TN
many nephews and nieces, other relatives, and friends

Strawberry Tofpi of Carnegie, OK
