Doris J Wiest

Doris Jean Wiest, 86, of Bessie, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on August 20, 2021 at the River Valley Living Center in Clinton, Oklahoma. She was born to William and Maudie (Moody) Allen in Akins, Oklahoma on April 22nd, 1935. Doris grew up and attended school in Sallisaw and graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1954. She met the love of her life Bennie Wiest, they were united in marriage on December 16, 1957 in Cordell, Oklahoma. To this union were born two children: Bennie and Barbara. Doris worked as a cook for twenty years at the Cordell Christian Home and worked five years as a housekeeper at the Corn Heritage Nursing Home. She enjoyed working on world puzzles, but most of all she loved her grandson. Doris will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
