Doris Mae Reddick was born June 1, 1931 in Lookeba, Oklahoma and died December 21, 2020 at Corn Heritage Village in Corn, Oklahoma at the age of 89. Doris was the youngest of three children born to Harold Homer Reddick and Marie Ella Mogg.
Doris graduated from high school at Alfalfa, Oklahoma in 1949. She married James Alvin Brown (Jim) on December 10, 1948. Doris and Jim moved to Hobart, Oklahoma in 1971 where they owned and operated Brown-Hulin John Deere Implement Company. Doris had also been employed at the Home State Bank and C. R. Anthony's in Hobart. Jim preceded her in death on April 9, 1997.
After she was widowed Doris married John Rufus Strange on October 19, 2003. John preceded Doris in death on July 5, 2009.
Doris is survived by children and step children: Dan and Shirley Brown of Heyworth, Illinois, Annette and Danny Moss of Hobart, Oklahoma, John and Marion Brown of Hoboken, New Jersey, Jana Strange and Corbun Babel of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma, Jill and Pat Fite of Hobart, Oklahoma, John Strange of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Jeri Strange of Plainview, Texas.

Doris was a true partner to her spouses in farming, She had a deep, abiding Faith and enjoyed cooking, ceramics, quilting, gardening, genealogy, sewing and reading. Above all, Doris loved her friends and family. Doris also loved Hobart, Oklahoma. Doris was known for her humility, her infectious positive outlook, and her friendly disposition. Upon hearing of her passing, friends and family noted that Doris was: "a great lady," that she "touched many people with her love," that she was "a blessing to know," "an awesome lady," "a lovely lady," "a very sweet and caring lady," ''� very peaceful lady," and "a wonderful woman."
