Doris Lorene George

Doris Lorene George, 91, of Hobart, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on October 28th, 2020 at the Hobart Living Center in Hobart, Oklahoma. She was born on January 28th, 1929, in Mountain View, Oklahoma to Russell and Lilly Lomenick George. Doris grew up in the sedan community near Mountain View. She began her career with the J.C. Penny Company in 1947 in Hobart. In 1952, she was transferred to Garland, Texas, and a short time later to the Regional. In 1974, she transferred to Wichita Falls, Texas, as Personal Manager.

In 1975, she retired from J.C. Penny Company and moved back home to Hobart and cared for her elderly parents while working for Styron's Wholesale and the Home State Bank. A short time later, she began ten-year tenure for Highland Supply Corporation as Personnel Director.

She pursued her love of painting for many years, and was active in the art guilds and activities. She was interested in the historical societies and museums and libraries.

Preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Kenneth George and Lewis George, sister: Gladys Kilgren
