Doris Crowley

September 6, 1943 — July 27, 2023

Doris Jean Crowley, 79, of Roosevelt, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home with her family by her side on July 27, 2023. She was born on September 6, 1943, to Marvin and Imogene (Armstrong) Bayless in Snyder, Oklahoma. Doris grew up and attended school in Snyder, while living with her grandparents Robert & Sybillar Armstrong. Doris was blessed with four children, she was the devoted and loving mother of Edwin Keith, Harold Dwain, Claude Arthur, and Misty Shea. She cherished her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role and took pride in being a granny. Doris worked at Kellwood's as a seamstress for 14 years before changing her career path. She earned her GED and then her certifications in accounting & bookkeeping. Doris then went on to work for Shan Transportation out of Tipton, OK for 11 years. Upon its closure she went to work as the office manager for Kiowa County, District 3 out of Snyder, OK, for the next 20 years where she retired at the early age of 76. Doris enjoyed her job and all the people she had the pleasure of working with there. They adored her and treated her as good as gold. Doris enjoyed spending time with her family, which was her greatest treasure. She loved flowers and working in her beautiful flower gardens. She loved to read, was an avid traveler, enjoyed road trips, cruising the oceans, and embarking on wild adventures. After retirement she traveled the world with her sisters and family. She made the most of her short retirement having a blast while making treasured memories. She was always ready to go on new adventures. It did not matter where, just unfamiliar places to see & enjoy Gods wondrous beauty. Doris also had a passion for sewing, quilting, and crafting. She loved her people. She ensured that her entire family knew how much they felt cherished by making quilts and blankets out of love. Her family will cherish those memories forever. Doris will forever be remembered for her beautiful soul, caring heart, vivacious spirit, sweet personality, and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate her life and find comfort in knowing she is in Heaven tending Gods Garden and watching over us until we meet again.
