Donna Jean Taylor, 74, of Fort Cobb, was born May 14, 1938, west of Anadarko, to Elza and Esther (Thomasson) Renfrow. She passed away Saturday, February 16, 2013 in Binger.
Jean grew up in Caddo County and attended Stecker Public Schools. She married Ronald LeRoy Taylor on June 6, 1957, in Anadarko. Jean worked as caregiver at various nursing homes, daycare centers and private homes. She spent her last months at the Binger Nursing Home, where she was cared for by nurses who also became friends including, Jamie, Candace, Kylie, Kathy, Raelynn, Melissa and numerous others.
She was a Mighty Warrior of the Lord! A Mighty Woman of God! A woman so strong in her Faith in the midst of the biggest battle of her life here on earth! Calm, reassuring, confident, anointed, and dedicated. She touched everyone's life that came into contact with her. â€"Carl Marrow
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Roy Wayne Taylor, one daughter, Linda Beth, 3 brothers and 2 sisters.
Survivors include; her husband Ronald Taylor of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, 2 daughters, Rhonda Ketcher and husband John of Anadarko, Oklahoma and Patricia Taylor of Fort Cobb; grandchildren Brad Collins and wife Christina, Kevin Pyle and wife Heather, Shane Nimsey and wife Amber, Amy Taylor, Amber Taylor, Christy Pyle and Tyler Davis and wife Ashlie; great grandchildren Jacob Pyle, Emma Collins, Andrew Collins, Briley Nimsey, Roy Blaine Taylor, Rylie Taylor, Anna Beth, Erica Lynn and Reed; 2 brothers, Rick Renfrow and wife Sue of Gainesville, Texas and Jimmy Renfrow and wife Carla of Anadarko; 2 sisters, Shirley Wilson and husband Chet of Longview, Texas and Kathy McCain and husband Mike of Anadarko; 2 sisters-in-law Wanda Ingram of Binger and Carolyn Renfrow of Belton, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, with Rev. Carl Marrow of the First Church of God in Binger, officiating. Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, under the direction the Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko.
