Donald "Don" Gene Walton

Donald Gene "Don" Walton, 76, passed away on NOvember 8, 2023 at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born in Phoeniz, AZ August 24, 1947 to Vernan Ellis Walton and Mary Lucille (Holden) Kallett.
Don grew up in Phoeniz, AZ, attended and graduated from Phoeniz Schools. He received his certificate in Forestry. He joined Navy and did two terms in Vietnam. Don was blessed with a full house of children: Donna, Valarie, Bryan, Mary, James, Sara, Amy, and Jackson.
He was Jack of all trades. Don worked for the Forestry Service, heavy equipment operator, overland truck driver and Flew airplanes for the forestry service and . He was an avid hunter marksman. Don was a crack shooter, fisherman, and catching animals. He lived in a cabin as a young man and he would help hunt for food for them to survive the winter. Don traveled around the states going to participate in the next one. He was a true cowboy and participated as a bull rider. Don was a boxer, worked as a forest firefighter, bowler, and played baseball (he really had the arm for it).
He taught his children how to hunt and fish which they have trained their children to do. One time he let the children ride horses down a stream and he was at the other end to meet them. Don wanted his children to survive in this world that is why he taught them so much. He was a very loving father, grandfather and loved life to the fullest.
He is preceded in death by his: parents, Vernan and Mary; siblings; Diane Walton, Dwayne Walton, Warner Walton
