Donald Lee Quiver, 82, of Anadarko, OK passed away peacefully at his home with his wife, Anne by his side on Friday, February 18, 2022. Don was born on November 11, 1939, at the Kiowa Indian Hospital in Lawton, OK to Dan and Neoma (Butler) Quiver.
He and his sister Virginia were their parent pride and joy. They lived in Anadarko where he attended and graduated Anadarko High School. After graduation he went to Kansas and attended Haskell Junior College where he studied to be a diesel mechanic. Don married Shirley Dennis Ray and had five boys; Don, Mike, Johnie, David, and Jason. Throughout the years, he worked all over the world in the military and the oilfield. During his career in the Navy, he went to Spain and Antarctica. Don trained troops for combat and was asked to go to officer training. He had an extensive career in the oilfield working on rigs. His job took him to Kuwait, Libya, Venezuela, and Peru. Don worked in Houston, TX repairing rigs and was manager at the gas plant in Cyril, OK.
He later met the love of his life, Wanda Anne Attis and they were married on May 13, 1998. They enjoyed two-stepping, traveling, playing cards, watching movies, playing dominos, riding the backroads, visiting their kids, grandkids and spending time together.
Don enjoyed during many things like hunting, fishing, boating, taking care of the yard, cooking and baking, noodling, shooting guns.
He is preceded in death by his: parents, Dan & Neoma; son, Johnie; sister, Virginia Holder and many friends and family.

Great grandchildren: Alex, Gunner, Ian, Gage, Charlee, Cameron, Aiden
He will be missed by all.
