Donald Ray Laferr

March 30, 1946 — November 3, 2018

Donald Ray LaFerr, Sr., 72, of Anadarko, OK, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2018, in Norman, OK.


Visitation will be at Ray & Martha's Funeral Home in Anadarko, OK. A Prayer Service will be held at Grace Christian Fellowship on Friday, November 9, 2018 from 7pm-9pm.


Funeral services will be held at 10am on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Grace Christian Fellowship with Pastor Ted Mercer, officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery.


Donald Ray LaFerr was born in Anadarko to Lewis & Marcenella (Jordan) Lacer on March 30, 1946. He attended school in Anadarko. He worked as a Brick Mason for over 50 years and owned LaFerr & Sons Masonry. He helped to renovate downtown Anadarko by restoring the brick work on the front of Downtown Anadarko buildings as well as the brick work on the roads and sidewalks. He was also a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Anadarko. Don held the North American Schutzhund Association championship titles in tracking and obedience for over 9 years in the 1980s. He loved training German Shepherd dogs for search and rescue and would receive over 250 dogs a year to train or distribute to police departments. His hobbies were spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as fishing.


Don LaFerr married Rosalie Kaulaity on September 30, 1967. They have 10 children.
