Donald L Hill

Donald Lee (Don) Hill, age 81 passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Monday, September 17, 2018 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Don was born in Lawton Oklahoma on December 20, 1936 to James Benjamin and Vardie Lee (Clark) Hill. Don married the love of his life Joyce Marie McLoud on January 15, 1958. In 1965 Don moved his family to Carnegie where he owned and operated a mechanic garage up until the day of his passing. Don loved anything fast, if it had a motor Don had an uncanny way to make things go faster. Don truly lived life to the fullest spending time with family and friends, dirt track racing, fishing, rodeoing, spending time at the lake and watching sports on tv. Don had a true sense of humor and would give the shirt off his back for a friend in need. Don was baptized in 1958 at the Highland Baptist Church in Lawton, Oklahoma and was a member of the Carnegie First Baptist Church. Don is survived by his wife of 60 years Joyce of the home, a son Donnie and wife Rose Hill of Lawton, a daughter Doneitta and husband Bobby Davis of Carnegie, a daughter Deneice and husband Rickey Trent of Cordell, granddaughter Sierra Davis, grandsons Justin Hill, Cole Harrison and Logan Davis, great granddaughters Aubree Hill and Josephine Harrison, brothers James Hill and Ronald Hill. Don was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Verdie Hill and granddaughter Amanda Hill. All family and friends whose life Don touched, are invited to the First Baptist Church Carnegie, 120 West Main Street, Saturday, September 22 at 11:00 a.m. to celebrate Don's life. Procession will immediately follow at the Sappington Chapel Cemetery, Mountain View.
