Dennis Leon Connally

Dennis Leon Connally, 68, of Anadarko, Oklahoma was born October 11, 1949 in Astoria, Oregon to C.W. "Bill" Connally and Pauline Connally. He passed from this life on Saturday , June 2nd, 2018. Funeral service will be at 10:30 am Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Dennis moved to Anadarko as a child where he attended elementary, Jr. High and High School. He enjoyed playing baseball in high school and was in the graduating class of 1967. Upon graduating from high school he attended Eastern Oklahoma College in Wilburton, Oklahoma and worked summers at Hollytex in Anadarko.

Dennis graduated from Southwester Oklahoma State University with a bachelors degree in Economics and a minor in math. He was employed by Public Service Company at the Washita Plant for fifteen years. Dennis was most recently employed by Dolese Brothers as a scale clerk at the Cooperton Quarry, where he enjoyed 11 years of being known as, "the grouchy old guy in the scale house." He was forced to retire in 2016 due to heart related problems.

Dennis enjoyed hunting and fishing more than anything else. He was extremely knowledgeable in the area of firearms and their capabilities. He prided himself in saying "I'm as good with a rifle as anyone I know." His passion for the outdoors was endless except for mowing the yard or laying brick during the heat of the summer.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father C.W. "Bill" Connally, one brother, Paul Connally, and a much missed uncle W.C. "Wayne" Connally.

He is survived by his mother, Pauline Connally of Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Marty Hanni of Stillwater, Oklahoma
Daughters: Lacy Archer of Durango, Colorado
Sara Suttle of Southlake, Texas
Along with many cousins, nephews, and friends.

We weren't ready for him to go, but the Lord in His infinite wisdom and timing, called him to his heavenly home. He will be deeply missed in which words can't explain.
