Delta June George

Delta June George, 89, of Mountain View, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2023, at home with her family by her side. She was born on June 8, 1933, to Alton and Thelma (Zimmerman) Delk in Green Valley, Oklahoma. June grew up and attended school in Cooperton and graduated from Cooperton High School in 1950. After high school June attended Cameron University for a couple of years and then attended OCW, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree. She met the love of her life, Barton George, and they were united in marriage on June 6, 1954, in Hobart, Oklahoma. To this union were born three children: Deborah, Gregory, and Gary. June spent her working life at home taking care of her children. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed working on crossword puzzles. June was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband.

Survivors include her husband Barton George of the home.

She was preceded in death by her Parents: Alton and Thelma Delk; Son: Gary George; Daughter: Deborah Easley; Son-in-law: Gary Easley; Brothers: Van Delk and Kirby Delk.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Westview Boys Home, Tipton Boys Home or Cancer Research.
