Wilma Delois Brite passed away on July 14, 2023, 10 days short of her 90th birthday at her home in Cordell, Oklahoma.
She was born July 24, 1933, in Clinton, Oklahoma to William Jennings Pyron and Ivy Juanita (Grubb) Pyron.
She graduated from Dill City High School in 1952.
She married her fifth grade boyfriend, Don Brite on Oct. 12, 1951. Their daughter, D'von was born on their tenth wedding anniversary. She worked with Don at their appliance store, Mainline Sales and Service, in Cordell (She was the boss!). They retired in 1988. Delois was a member of Cordell First Baptist Church.
Don and Delois enjoyed travels in Europe during the 1950's courtesy of the U.S. Army. They visited Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria, Holland, Italy, France, and Scotland.
She loved hot tea, walking at church, chocolates in its many forms, her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even Don!
She is survived by her husband Don, daughter D'von and husband Steve, grandchildren Jarrod Poulson, Lauren Poulson, Kade Poulson and wife Dr. Jennifer Rodney and their children Troy and Vera. Her sister Ardell McAtee, niece Billie Jane Lee and husband Roger, nephew Jeff McAtee and wife Roxy, and their families. Her brother Merle Kopf and wife Lavonna and their family. Her sister-in-law, Carlene Kellogg, niece Sue Renfro and husband Bob, nephew Steve Kellogg and wife Becky, and their families. And her favorite walking buddy, Betty Howard.
