Dekoata Ryan Espinoza, 25, of Anadarko, OK passed away at his home July 19, 2021, in Anadarko, OK. He was born May 5, 1996, at St. Anthony's Hospital, OKC, OK to Gena Lynn Coleman Espinoza. He attended Anadarko High School and was a team member of the 2011 State Champion Football team. He was a member of the Caddo Nation of Oklahoma and descendant of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma and Cheyenne/Arapaho Tribe of Oklahoma.
When Dekoata was 11 years old he and his three cousins climbed down Mt. Scott and as a result his Grandpa Ralph Poolaw, Jr gave him his Kiowa name "Kope'Ate'Daw" (High Mountain, referring to Mt. Scott). Dekoata enjoyed hanging out with his friends and relatives and enjoyed attending sporting events with his Grandpa Ralph. He attended OU Football, OKC Thunder and OU Girls softball games.
He was preceded in death by his: mother, Gena Lynn Coleman Espinoza; brother Phillip Allen Espinoza, Jr; Grandmothers, Virginia Louise Poolaw, Patricia Zotigh Espinoza; Great Grandmother Ella A. Tahbone Poolaw
