Dee Roy Belase, 80, Carnegie, OK passed away at his home, Sunday, March 30, 2014. He was born May 24, 1933 in Oney, Oklahoma to James and Lola (Brown) Belase. He graduated from Alfalfa High School in 1952. Dee Roy served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict and married Barbara Cole, January 16, 1954 in Fort Smith, AR. To this union three children were born. Barbara preceded him in death December 11, 2007. He farmed north of Carnegie, raising wheat, cotton and peanuts. Memberships include the First United Methodist Church, Carnegie, Ok and the Farmers CO-OP Gin Board, Carnegie and the Fort Cobb Hunting Club. Dee Roy was one of the founding members of the REACT Team in Carnegie. He loved to hunt, fish, and golf.

Sandra Belase, Oklahoma City, OK
daughter-in-law: Margaret Settle and husband, Sandy, Carnegie, OK
six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren
sister: Evelyn Steele and husband, Bill, San Antonio, TX
and a host of other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Barbara, son, Donnie Belase and granddaughter, Lisa Eskew and a sister, Charlotte King.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church, Carnegie, OK with burial to follow in the Carnegie Cemetery, Carnegie, OK under the direction of Ray & Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie.
